Visiting Disney during the holidays….

Everywhere you look, you’ll find that special holiday magic at Walt Disney World. From massive, beautifully decorated trees and wreaths to unique holiday touches in every park, the festive spirit is everywhere. Disney is the perfect place to Celebrate the Holidays.

Each Disney Resort is decked out with its own carefully selected holiday décor, perfectly matching its unique theme. Whether you’re exploring the parks, strolling through Disney Springs, or visiting the resorts. The magic of the season is in the air. But for a truly special holiday experience, taking the time to visit each Disney Resort is a must—each one offers its own enchanting take on the season!

The Wilderness Lodge stands out as the quintessential spot to Celebrate Christmas in Grand style. It brings to mind the charm of a traditional, old-fashioned holiday. Did you know that it’s modeled after The Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park. The resort features stunning vaulted ceilings and wood beams that transport you to a cozy wilderness retreat.

The enormous lobby is truly an amazing sight, with its warm wood accents. A towering stone fireplace, and a massive Christmas Tree serves as the centerpiece of the room. This inviting lobby is full of cozy spots to sit, relax, and soak in the festive atmosphere. The roaring fireplace invites guests to settle into a rocking chair and enjoy the warmth or lose themselves in a good book.

Despite the lively activity in the lobby, it still feels intimate and welcoming. While admiring the stunning Christmas Tree, I met some friendly visitors and even took photos for a local family, creating some holiday magic, who were enjoying the resort as much as I was.

The Gingerbread Store

Behind the Christmas Tree, at the far end of the lobby, you’ll find an enchanting Gingerbread Store.  The charming shop sells a variety of festive treats, including cookies, candies, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider.  A highlight is the Cookie Box ($11.79), which includes:

  • A Molasses Cookie
  • A Shortbread Cookie with Milk Chocolate and Moose Print
  • A Sugar Snowflake Mickey-Shaped Cookie
  • A Miniature Molasses Cookie

This box makes a perfect gift for cookie lovers or a delightful souvenir to bring home.
